The question is that is this Honda NT1100 Cheapest DCT motorcycle or this is the only one bike which comes with DCT automatic gearbox?
There are plenty of sports tourer bikes in this segment but none of them come with DCT Gearbox in this price.

Honda is king of the DCT Gearbox as they are already using this unit in their other models NC750S And X, VFR1200F And X and Africa Twin.
All these are adventure tourer category motorcycles and NT1100 is sports tourer bike.
There’s another honda motorcycle that uses dct gearbox it is legendry honda goldwing. Which goes on higher side of the price which make honda nt1100 an affordable honda bike with more power.
Where honda rebel 1100 is a cruiser bike which shares all the power figure and most of the components from nt1100. Rebel Also use DCT transmission but that doesn’t fall in sports tourer category.
Why honda NT1100 is in small price bracket with cheapest DCT
Honda has done work to make this bike more road purpose which doesn’t need off road or adventure components. which are always at high side of price point due to manufacturing cost and research and development budget of the company.
Although it shares most of the components which are already being used in its existing bike Africa Twin. But it produces more power than Africa Twin as honda has tuned its parallel Twin engine for road purpose and long tours.

Even after sharing most of the Africa Twin parts still honda nt1100 is more affordable bike for more riders and it beats other motorcycle brands in price war.
What makes the Honda NT1100 the best affordable sports tourer
Honda launched this NT1100 bike in 2022 in European market and recently they have brought its updated version in 2025 after improving some parts of this powerful motorcycle.
Honda has brought not only face-lift version this time actually they have worked on engine and other performance components too

So here are soke changes that can be seen in new 2025 Honda NT1100
Engine
Honda put their effort in making bigger air intake box, they are using new ecu settings for more outputs. There is work done on crankshaft, con rods new piston crown.
All this is resulted in higher compressor ratio. It didn’t increase horsepower but now midrange is more peppy on highway tours for better cruising feedback.
DCT
DCT is the main character of this bike which makes it stand out if the crowd of other bikes so honda improved their transmission for more smooth experience.
In previous generation DCT Gearbox used to feel little Jerry at lower rpm when slowing down for corners or in traffic, so honda improved Gearbox unit with better response to lower and mid range rpm.
Semi active
There was some negative feedback about adjustable electronic suspension, it was hard to configure with riding style where it has to struggle to adjust for better suspension settings during changing terrains or ride with or without passenger or luggage.
Now after updating electronics there is smooth and synced response from electronics suspension.
Windshield
In previous generation honda NT1100 was coming with a windshield which had to adjust only while stopped the bike as it didn’t have any easy accessible switch to reach while sitting on bike.
It had to get off the bike and adjust windshield lower or higher from front side.

But now honda has given access to windshield without getting off from the bike seat, as there is a switch on left side of meter console to operate hight adjustment.
Mud gaurd
In previous Honda NT1100 there was smaller mud gaurd which wasn’t really effective in wet weather it was flipping all the mud and water onto the back seat and little bit of water was splashed on rider too.
So this time Honda extended rear mud gaurd and now it does really pretty job to keep the rider and rear part of bike dry and mud free.
Seat
In previous generation the seat was not that comfortable in term of surface, it was too close and narrow which was making rider very accommodation.
New version of NT1100 is having 20% more surface area and seat height remained same as it was before. But 820 mm seat height is not on higher side for a tourer category bike.
Luggage
Luggage boxes in the old generation Honda NT1100 was not enough spacious to put a full face size helmet with other small size of camera or riding gear.
So customers had to go for aftermarket solutions for luggage case where they can put more luggage in their saddle boxes.
This time honda made their luggage boxes 25% bigger with 37 liter capacity on left box and 36 liter capacity on right side
Colour
In 2022 Honda launched NT1100 with only three colour options which were white, grey and black only which wasn’t that appealing for customers and there wasn’t not any cosmetic change in these years either
But in new launch of Honda NT1100 2025 edition they have come with even more colour options.
Now customers have more colors options with these three newly launched paint schemes.
Honda NT1100 now comes with pearl Hawkseye blue, gunmetal black metallic and mat warm ash metallic.
Now there are 6 colour options in the NT1100 2025 fleet.
Price
After so many cosmetic and mechanical work and improvement in various areas of the bike Honda NT1100 still remains at the same price as it was during launch of its old generation in 2022.
Conclusion
Honda has equipped with lots of features and now it has become more to value for money product in this price range.
Honda NT1100 comes with touch tft screen with android and apple car play where no any other bike offers such tech features in midrange segment of sports tourer.
You need to pay little more for NT1100 with electronic adjusted suspension still price remaines very low in compare of yamaha’s t9, triumph tiger 800 sports, bmw 900f.
So at the end, there is no any other DCT Gearbox sports tourer bike in this price range who offers such rich features and reliability of Honda engines.
